ABOUT US
SimTech Motorsport was founded by Shane who at the end of 2010 was looking at a way of keeping sharp for his next season of karting. Following RDLMS mostly which was a very competitive league, he didn't think he could find himself a way into a team. At the time he raced in a GT5 league called TTS where he was dominating the race but wasn't leading the standings due to not making Round 1. After being very competitive in GT5 he signed up to RD 24 hours of Nurburgring on rFactor 1 for our first proper sim race.
Since then we've won numerous championships and races in various types of racing from sprint-endurance, rallying, NASCAR and so on. We even do Le Mans 24 hours kart race where we've been in contention of winning a few times.
We don't have any big plans for the future as it all depends on money. Ideally we'd like to win a 24 hour kart race, enter some sort of car racing as a team and as always have plenty of banter.
KARTING
We started out karting in 2014 with our first race being Teesside 6 hours. Now we've done Teesside 24 hours and Le Mans 24 hours twice.
We started out as a fully sim-racing team but now we've taken on some of the best rental karters around. We got drivers from Ireland, England, Hungary, Greece, Netherlands and Belgium.
Our best result so far is 14th place at Le Mans 24 hours 2017 but we lead and held a top 3 position until the final 3 hours.
The goal is to win Le Mans 24 hours in rental karts then maybe in the future to take on the ACO CIK Le Mans 24 hours.
2021 we won the British 24 hours in the Rookie Rental class with Jack, Steve, Tim and Reece. James ran the kart which helped them take a 1 lap victory.
2023 seen us move to Pro Kart in the Pro Kart Nederland Championship in the Pro class. In our first race in owner Kart we won with Nico and Shane at the wheel.
